Automation of alcohol production

The increase in requirements for analytical and organoleptic parameters of edible ethyl alcohol "Lux", which is mainly used for the production of high-quality liquor products, created a number of problems at factories producing this product.

At most factories, the steam rectification units (BRU) used do not allow to separate, in the required volume, from ethyl alcohol such impurities as croton aldehyde, isopropanol, n-propanol, methanol, etc. These impurities are a compromise, the creation of favorable conditions for the isolation of some makes others impossible to remove. In order to solve the problem, it is necessary to complicate the design of the BRU, implement hydroselection, and increase the number of columns. The management of such BRUs is greatly complicated, which leads to the instability of their operation and, accordingly, to constant fluctuations in the quality indicators of alcohol.

The stability of the work of other departments of the plant, such as the hydrofermentative processing of the dough and the fermentation department, has no less influence on the quality of alcohol. Considering the continuous mode of operation of the distillery, the human factor also significantly affects the quality of the final product. All these problems require a complex system solution. Such an approach is the development and implementation of an automated technological process control system (ACS TP) at the distillery.

We offer a step-by-step approach to solving this problem:

Stage 1

Conduct a technical and technological audit of the entire technological process together with the technical staff of the plant;
Conduct an analysis of existing processes, issue a technical specification for hardware reconstruction (improvement) and modification of the technical process necessary to achieve quality indicators of alcohol.
Stage 2

On the basis of the microprocessor technology controller, implement the lower level of ACS TP for collecting parameters and automatic regulation of processes;
On the basis of personal computers, create automated workplaces (ARM) for operators and shift technologists for monitoring and logging of all process parameters.
Stage 3

Develop and implement the upper level of ACS TP, which will ensure control and management of material flows and energy costs of production with the formation of a complete set of reporting documents on production.
Stage 4

Link the company's ACS (personnel, accounting, planning, finance, ...) with the ACS TP into a single hierarchical computer network.
In the process of implementing ACS TP, train workers and engineering and technical personnel and pay special attention to the selection of shifts.
Step-by-step planning and solving of these problems will make it possible to obtain a good result in the stabilization of the technological process and quality indicators of alcohol, increase the yield of alcohol and reduce energy consumption already at the first stages.

We can perform the entire range of works on:

System design;
Delivery of all equipment;
Installation;
Start-up and adjustment of the entire system;
Personnel training;
Technical support.
We have sufficient experience in the automation of alcohol production and the implementation of similar systems.
